Honestly, with the references to how Roland sometimes looked so much older, it would make sense that even in 2002 he could have been played by Eastwood. It would have just required good makeup/hair and camera work to smooth out some of the lines.

I originally expected to see Clint Eastwood as Roland, but now he's far too old.
