Many of you are confusing a standard patrol vehicle vs. what was stated here as to be “used for non-emergency purposes like outreach and police business instead of patrols or chases”. So, they could be used at say the annual Motors 4 Toys car show where there is usually an LAPD “booth” where people come and interact

I agree that as we reach our golden years, a physical driving test should be required every x number of years, but a 70 year old who wants a 700+ hp GT500 is NOT the same as the old dude rockin’ a 90's beige Buick LeSabre in the high speed lane with their turn signal on goin’ 45 - - and he’s also certainly a safer

we’ll all be sure to NOT clap when you come out at the next Jalopnik event. I mean, it is your job and you’re getting paid for it, and quite frankly, some of the articles are sub-par - so why should we applaud that?

oh, so you were going for the “lack of chemistry, lack of being prepared, lack of knowing what makes a good bit ‘subversive’” interview?

Is it too much to ask to put the year of the car in the article?

    1st gen Mercedes CLK? (1997-2002) CLK55 rims?

    Kreiss!!!

PDK is the water-cooled frustration of our times.

I’m thinking that a 5 hour tow probably costs about 1/4 of the vehicle cost. Any idea how much the tow was?

    A) I should have bought one of these when they were “only” $100k.

Agreed. I’d get the base model, lose 11 pounds off MY belly and BOOM - same result AND an $11k savings!

It’ll be interesting to see, since most Jalop staff, and certainly the commentators, have been brutal on every little detail of every car show out there - comments on music choices, chemistry, writing, etc. Some of the criticism has been warranted, but I think you’re experiencing how absolutely tricky it is to get

Ohhhhh, I didn’t realize it had a DOUBLE-racing stripe. This one will surely (stop calling me Shirley) go to 11 and be faster than the single-racing striped cars. I may have to up my bid by a million or so.

It’s fine if someone wants to ride without a helmet, but then their health insurance and bike insurance should be at least double. And if they are involved in an accident with injury, let’s start with a $20k deductible. Hey man, it’s just good business sense. Why should everyone else in the insurance pools have to pay

    do you

    Predicted comments ahead of airing:

Pretty sure previous GTs could already hit 60 Cars and Coffee spectators from a stand still in less than 4 seconds.

I sure would like to see a ‘sport’ version with 200hp though - easily doable from that 2 liter.

After dealing with fertility issues, doctors advised him to lay off the Busch.
