Bummer. I assume you can have a project car in your garage, but you currently use it for other stuff/vehicles, correct? It would suck if you couldn’t have a project car in your garage.

I think the issue is less about what an individual thinks is ok, and more about what each particular city has decided are it’s rules. If people in the city don’t like the rules, they can obviously fight to change them.

    ding Ding DING DING DING!!!

I’m curious (and I’m genuinely asking, not trolling) if you were selling that house, and during the open house, the van with the graffiti was parked next to your property, that that would have negatively impacted the selling price or the perception of the neighborhood?

I think there are tons of benefits and advantages that you brave men and women deserve when you come back - health care including mental health, assistance getting a job, etc. . I agree with your assessment on zoning. Neighborhoods and rules obviously vary greatly in the U.S. If the local community felt strongly about

The existing laws of Virginia Beach CAN and DID tell him what he can do with his property. Not an HOA, not the Eye Sore Police. Owning property doesn’t mean you can do ANYTHING you want. I can’t turn my house into a restaurant just because it’s my property. I also can’t park a tank on the front lawn. I feel like many

Was using an absurd example to point out that most people will draw a line SOMEWHERE as to what they deem ‘ok’ to have in their neighborhood. A Kermit float, an 80 foot wrecking ball, a tank ... Some people are ok with all of those examples, but local communities have created laws to prevent the above examples.

Just using an absurd example to point out that everyone has a line as to what they find acceptable. Some people think the truck is too much, some don’t even think that an 80 foot wrecking ball is a problem. If you want to be able to park anything you want in your front yard, you’ll likely have to move out to the

I was attempting to suggest thru an absurd example that everyone draws a different line as to what they deem acceptable. Local laws came into play here. If you want to live by “my land I can do anything I want” that’s great, but that usually means moving out to the country. I’m not white-knighting anybody, we’re just

    Cool. Neither am I.

Great! I just bought the house next to you bnceo!!! I’m also bringing my 80 foot wrecking ball, 38 foot house boat, World War II tank, and a biplane. They should ‘just’ fit on my front lawn.

People will be soft on this because it’s a vet, and we all want to support our vets. If it was out in the country, it wouldn’t be a problem.

Won’t happen, but PLEASE make an 86-shooting brake in order to create the best “reliable and practical clown shoe” ever built!

We have this or similar and agree that it’s great! Doesn’t have the “learning” feature of the Nest, but meh, don’t really care. Phone app is great and intuitive. Really nice to be heading home at irregular hours and be able to turn on heat or ac before heading out on my way. Or be lazy on the couch and bump the

Definitely seeing striping trending here in L.A. - especially on BMWs and some Mercedes. I’m still on the fence about it.

Edd, you made the correct choice - by far.

Hell, I barely make the Motors4Toys thing, and that goes to about 11.

Damn, I should’ve put it in quotes, like “wiretapping”.
