@pettiblay: Sorry Man. Me neither. I wish it was though. That being said, if anyone new wants to open a new account, here's my link for both of us getting 250MB more when you sign up. I know there's a ton of other people doing this, but I figured it can't hurt right?

@JBu92: It is. You're just looking at the Professional version. A little scouring on the site and you'll find the freeware version still there, which is what I've always used and never felt like it lacked features I needed.

Haha, as a Psychology student, I really enjoyed this article, cause I've only heard about this a million times before. This and the article about being an effective liar on here have definitely stuck with me and I'm glad to see a little love for such an interesting subject here on Lifehacker. Well done guys!

So I share the Wii with my younger sisters at home who have no technology skills whatsoever. Say I hack our Wii successfully, but a while down the road, someone that's not me wants to run off with it. Is there a way to reset the Wii to factory condition, or will they just have to figure out how to work around the

Can someone explain to me why we need to change the file, and then copy it to another location too? I'm just curious. Logically I'd think just changing it would be enough, but I'm no programmer.

It helps that us college students can the software dirt cheap, and that's what keeps me with Office. That and the fact that it's the main office suite run everywhere help keep it relevant to me. I tried OpenOffice and just didn't like it, and it was probably because it was what I grew up on and was comfortable with.

@utkhexon: I agree. I don't like when people cry "Foul" right away when Wikipedia is mentioned. I understand it shouldn't be the Holy Grail of information, but at the same time most people are quite intelligent on there, it's constantly being reviewed, and you can always see if peope have cited their sources. It

@Smurfette's dropkick: My Mac friends would always make fun of me that I'd run CCleaner frequently, until the one day I sent them a screenshot getting back about 1.2 GBs of file space after a cleanup. They haven't said anything since :)

@natanku: My thoughts exactly. I was trying to watch "District 9" a few months ago and was just too dsitracted by the extremely noticeable shaky camera work.

The funny thing is that I'm using most of these apps already, and I think I got the hint to start using some from here ;)

So this is really random: I bought a pair of cheap sunglasses a while ago, and they're just plastic frames. The arms do not line up with each other, and one side is very bent, so they sit crooked on my face. Anyone got any ideas on how to adjust them? I took them to my eyeglasses place to have them adjust it but they

Anyone care to explain to me how Chrome's UI is not minimal or functional? I switched near Chrome's birth and have not gone back. One of the reasons I like it so much is once you hide the bookmarks bar, all you have are tabs and an address bar. That's pretty minimal for me. I'm just curious is all. I'm not taking

I actually just did this a few weeks ago, albeit a little different. I just set up a smart playlist that met the condition "Play Count is less than 1." Then as soon as a song was done, it got removed from the playlist. It was a great way for me at least to listen to some old music I had forgotten about. I did add

Is it sad that I know how to properly sharpen and take care of a knife, but as a lowly college student I don't even know how to sew a button back onto my shorts that has fallen off? ;)

@Zinger314: Oh man! WIN!! :D You have just made my day!

Mac on a shelf, Mac on a shelf. Looking like a fool with your Mac on a shelf. :)

@oneshot719: If you're running Windows Vista or 7, I haven't had any problem with the built-in Backup and Restore function. Just have it create an image of your hard drive. Has worked twice for me!

@Chispea: Wow that's awesome! Congrats and keep up the good work! I feel like that should be motivation enough for me to start working out again.

@Chispea: I'm guessing you probably haven't been on it too long, but have you noticed any changes yet? I found that site through Lifehacker actually a while ago and have been meaning to start but I just haven't made time for it yet.

I also think it's just a matter of personal opinion. I also have both installed, but for different reasons. I tried Chrome very early in it's existence and instantly fell in love with it's speed and the fact that it wouldn't crash on one of my sites that I used for school that ran Java and crashed all the time in
