My house caught a running bout of the flu that kept us away from theaters to see this just as the run was winding down enough for us to feel confident in bringing a squirmy five year old child to see her superheroes, so now we’re just waiting for this re-release to bring it back into a theater close to the house.

Honorable mention to “Morroco”, which deftly balanced the reality of living in a country where laws hold to Arab standards while exploring the expectations of expatriots and artists who have flocked there over the years.

Best scene: Bourdain totally does not test mahjoun for it’s potency and flavor.

I tried to watch it in the original Danish with subs, but kids and work multitasking led to me having to stop and rewind too much for that to be effective. Great to know that it stays solid. I’ll get back into it. Thanks!

I watched the first 6 or 7 episodes of “The Rain” a few months back and then got distracted by other things. Worth picking back up?

(Also, is it just me or does the dubbing lose sync with the video by about 1/2 to 3/4 seconds sometimes?)

Mitch McConnell decides what bills can be brought to a vote in the Senate. Nobody else can force one. If he chooses not to let something go up for a vote, it doesn’t get passed.

Judge Merrick Garland knows all about that.

I lived in DFW and Houston from mid 2000 to mid 2003. I tried Whataburger a few times and quickly came to the realization that they make a solid breakfast ... and that’s about it. Anytime I wanted a burger late night or while on the road (driving 300+ miles a day for work without leaving a metro area is fun, let me

Having moved from Florida to Virginia two years ago, I would not blame him.

Tampa / St. Pete was such a more pleasant and progressive place to live than being near Quantico.

Two years ago I moved from Central Florida to North-Central Virginia (halfway between Richmond and D.C.) and there’s eff-all for good pizza around here. Sure, I can drive an hour or more to get to a Mellow Mushroom — where it’s all about a doughy crust and some ridiculously flavorful topping combinations — but I can’t

Did you watch that whole play develop out of the U.S. box? Rapinoe was 20 yards deeper into the U.S. zone than that defender she beat to score the goal — she put on afterburners to get into the play, beat a defender to the ball when that defender had every advantage to get there first, AND Rapinoe scored while falling.

Oh, hey, the third best Final Fantasy game for the original Playstation is getting a graphical overhaul. Neat.

Alex Morgan tied the record for most goals in a single match, set by Michelle Akers in 1991. That’s worth celebrating.

Carli Lloyd scored in her fourth World Cup. That’s worth celebrating.

Mallory Pugh scored in her first World Cup. That’s worth celebrating.

Megan Rapinoe ran an Olympic-class 100-yard sprint, beat a

I was never a gym rat, but I played soccer for over a decade and always wore compression shorts under my soccer shorts for additional protection against the grass when sliding.

Yes, everything compresses. Yes, if I wore compression shorts and then leggings everybody would be able to see my geography.

But ... wearing

I’ve been the defender falling on their ass when outmatched one-on-one.

Honor of my life.

Wise, you are.

“One hour if the temperature is above 90 degrees.”

And if you live in Central Florida, where summer temperatures range close to 100 with humidity percentages over 70, just stay inside.

2001 - 2005 Lexus IS 300.

It has the 2JZ, it seats 3 children (or 2 in big carseats) in the back seat, has ample space in the trunk/boot, and sometimes can even be found in the Sportcross model for the extra wagon feel (if that’s your thing.)

Plus, they’ll save your life when a Nissan Titan with a brushguard t-bones it

When I lived in St. Pete, Florida, we used PDQ Chicken as our go-to chicken-based drive-thru restaurant of choice. Since moving to the southern edges of Northern Virginia we’ve been far removed from PDQ, and rather miss it.

I signed up two days ago, after having watched through shared accounts for too long.

Between the upcoming Watchmen, Euphoria, and His Dark Materials, catching up on Westworld, various documentaries, and Sesame Street for our toddler ... we’ll probably be here awhile.

It’s been nearly 16 years since I moved out of Texas, and in the times since (spent living in Florida and Virginia) I’ve never had a JitB location anywhere close to me. I’ve made it a point to visit when travels have taken me close to one.

The Sourdough Jack and Curly Fries with 1 eggroll still makes for the most

Jason, it’s been ... awhile ... and your just posted the backstory today of why the guide for IX was awful. Any chance on the retrospective for IX dropping any time soon?

(IX is my favorite of the PS1 games, so I might be a bit biased in wanting your take on it ... )

Please and thank you!
