Perhaps those 21 women should go to the police together and make a case, otherwise I’m pretty certainly we’ve seen no justice. All the accused but not charged rapists are walking around free men.

As an Auroran, I can tell you that some of the families of victims have not handled their loss very well at all, from people attacking the jury because they didn’t hand down a death sentence to both a state-level and a federal lawsuit trying to cash in on the only deep pockets even tangentially related to the case.
Suing a movie theater for not having armed guards in all its theaters = frivolous.
I hate to side with the big corporation here, but no one here believes the theater chain should be held responsible for this. Cinemark had to pay $700,000 to fight a lawsuit that never should have been brought.
How about saying, “Don’t bring frivolous lawsuits?” That’s a good place to start. And, as the story already said, this is a tactic to ensure that plaintiffs don’t appeal. The plaintiffs will agree not to appeal, and the request for fees and costs will be dropped.
