There are numerous Western educated medical doctors that promote plant-based diets and have written peer-reviewed, scientifically researched journal articles and New York Times best selling books, filled with supporting scientific data.

The study briefly mentions things beyond land but the issues of animal agriculture extend to how much water the animals consume, how much grain they eat and the water that takes to grow, fuel use, excrement production, deforestation, cows’ methane being the number one cause of climate change, and also animal suffering…
