As the owner of a Leaf, I think a bit more clarification is in order. This only impacts cars running the NissanConnect (formerly CarWings) remote features. Those of us cheapskates who bought used base Leaf “S” models that don’t have the fancy connectivity package are not vulnerable to this hack. Frugality wins again!

Or any one of us could go home, write a simple script, and do this to every single Leaf in existence.
