But the purpose of a “Glider kit” was to allow a customer that had a truck that was wrecked to take all of their still good running gear (Engine / Transmission / Diff) & equipment (winch / wet kit / whatever) & install…
Bbecause basically any engine that has DPF / DEF & other emissions on it is less fuel efficient and more expensive to maintain then a “pre-emissions" engine... If you add the emissions equipment to an older engine you lose the efficiency.
He doesn’t say exactly what the truck is... if it’s an 06 Duramax Silverado there is a lot he can do to get power out of it... build the trans to handle it and he can reliably get 600 horsepower out of it without messing with the internals. Plus there is a huge aftermarket for everything on those trucks
