You can do the same on Android or say “open maps.” You can also do this: “Ok Google. Play Nightvale on Pocketcast.” and Google will launch Pocketcast and start the latest Nightvale podcast. You can’t do that on iOS yet. (the developer of Pocketcast mentioned it off hand once)
Buried multi window and Android M and support for Android apps in Chrome OS (though not easy to do) are really signs that they’ve been working on this for a long time.
But your average user doesn’t want to use ARC Welder or ARChon and the lack of Play services causes a lot of issues for Android apps on Chrome today. Play services and the ability to install an app form the Play store (and the ability to install an app on your laptop from your phone) will be great.
Google doesn’t gather every key stroke. If the practice uses the same software to manage customer records as every other practice, your data is just as secure.
