I think it’s possible that Musk can “start building” Model 3's in July, but it will be low volumes and he won’t be close to hitting his 500k/year number in 2018 (if ever).

I can’t convert any of my revenue to dollars (even to buy more parts to build more widgets). My assets will be devalued as the currency weakens. My potential customers have no jobs. And eventually the government will seize my operations because it feels like. Add heavy tariffs/taxation, price controls, trade…
Being picky about the round number i used in my illustration misses the point that putting aside money when you’re that young is VERY powerful.
Don’t want to kill ALL the fun, but there’s another option. Mid to low six figures doesn’t shout life-changing to me if you start spending it now. Market returns on it for the next 30 years, however, is compounding magic.
I picked one up a similar one around the same time - LTZ. I was driving ~600 miles a week in a Focus, sometimes 250 miles at a time. It was nice to be able to feel my legs at the end of a trip. I had to get out and do literal jumping jacks to get blood flow to my legs halfway through each trip in the Focus.
The article is spot on. It’s not a sporty (or incompetent) car to drive. But between the comfort of the seats/suspension, the available features, the mileage and the price, it’s a great commuter vehicle. A manual transmission greatly enhances the enjoy-ability and thriftiness.
Good points. I would add 3 similar points.
Problem : it was trying to give the ground a lap dance.
You installed them upside down.
I think that’s all true for many “truck” people. For people who have lighter duty uses like bikes, camping, kids stuff, home depot runs, etc the story is different. This segment is more efficient, easier to park, fits in a garage, and is still plenty capable. The cheaper price for content, even if it’s small, is just…
So we have a case of one infinite value being larger than another infinite value? Crazy!
Mathematically speaking (though I’m no mathmagician), I believe any state with coastline has an infinite coastline depending on the level of granularity you measure at. So technically they’re tied? Or maybe this is related to coastline you might actually enjoy if you hate hypothermia and shark bites.
Maybe it should say “more alligator and shark free coastline than any other state.”
Not too much time, auto show week appears like it will include multiple 50 Degree Plus days.
The BOF Pickup is leaving this same Warren plant for an all new line in the currently Unibody Chrysler 200 plant. This tells me two things.
More than anything I’m curious about the performance/price combination. The easiest thing to do I think would be to actually put this above the V8. This would also make things like AWD (doesn’t that appear on most of those pricey performance hybrids?) and tech gizmos a little easier to fit into the budget. The…
Retooling an existing Mexican plant for the Focus and paying higher wages in the US vs. Mexico will eat up all of that given enough years of paying higher wages.
Mexico also had better trade relations with South American countries than the US. GM needs to produce cars sold in those countries outside of the US in order to avoid huge duties into places like Brazil and Argentina.
If you’re in too much of a hurry to boil water, throwing a large brick and your windshield will usually knock off most of the ice.
I always thought that since most truck nut fanatics likely bought their truck to compensate / enhance their own genitalia, the truck itself represents a giant penis , and therefore the truck nuts are usually installed in the correct position at the base . In fact , I assumed the owner was just using the nuts to make…
