If you read my post, I’m not even commenting on whether Tesla has a safety issue. I don’t have enough information to comment on that, and I have no reason to believe that it’s anything on the scale of the pinto or Takata or anything like that (if it’s anything at all).

Any time a company gets defensive like this it gives me pause about whether it’s a company I can trust. This issue may not be a big deal, but they way they handle it is.
Interesting. They get away with terrible quality because their customers feel like they are straightforward and responsive fixing them (even if it takes multiple tries). Regardless of any legal ramifications, this type and behavior will not play well with their reliability record.
