I would never judge someone for crying at work, girl or guy. I mean, if you want me to do absolutely anything you want for that entire week, let me see you cry. Ugh. I'm an instant pushover. Not a bad workplace strategy even if it was on purpose.
Exactly! I'm agreeing with you. The burden of preventing a rape should NEVER be on the victim, and it's so messed up when people pretend like it is. Men aren't incapable of controlling themselves, and this argument kind of makes it seems like they are.
People who know it's wrong to murder and steal still murder and steal anyway. Sorry for the homophones.
I don't think the reason men are raping women is because they just don't know any better.
Haha! Well, as stupid as you may think I am, at least I haven't smuggled coke for my online boyfriend. I do think people need to be brought up right, yeah. I also think by the time you are an adult, you know that rape is wrong. I think there are a lot of reasons for rape, and they are all horrible. People aren't going…
When do they say that they aren't aware what they are doing is rape? After they are confronted about it? Of course they are going to say they didn't realize what they were doing was wrong.
Hey, I never said it's okay to blame women for being raped. That's just fucked up. Don't put words in my mouth. Isn't this whole "we have to teach men not to rape" thing implying that men don't have self control? I'm saying that men DO have self control and should be held accountable for their actions. Most rapists…
Yeah, that's what I was trying to say. I think it oversimplifies the whole issue to say that men just don't understand.
Educating people about date rape is a worthwhile endeavor. I think implying that you have to teach all men not to be rapists is ridiculous.
You say "men" like it's EVERYONE. That's the problem with this argument. All of those actions are wrong, I agree. But I also have to say that the majority of men don't do those things. Teaching people respect is one thing, saying that they'll rape if they aren't told not to is another.
I think that could definitely be the case with a lot of people, but a lot of rapists are doing it when they know it's wrong. They just don't care.
I think, yeah, teaching people not to objectify others is a good start. But I'm not really taking that argument from a blog that has "thigh-lights" as a regular feature. The way this post is worded alludes to saying that men will all be rapists unless they are taught otherwise.
That doesn't mean that they have no idea what they are doing is wrong. Rape is horrible. It's disgusting. But giving someone the excuse that they just didn't know better is sick, too.
Ugh. Tucker Max is the WORST. I'll agree with that. And I'm not saying that some men don't objectify women and think nothing of it. But making the jump to saying they don't know that rape is wrong is a long one. Tucker Max is a great example. Of course he knows it's wrong. He knows the shock value he gets from it and…
Obviously the vast majority of rapists are men. It's kind of hard for a woman to rape a man except for date rape. I'll agree with the part about a woman being impaired by alcohol not being able to make decisions about sex. Some people do need a lesson in that. Otherwise, this argument is saying that you can take a…
This is so INCREDIBLY sexist against men that I can't even stand it. I mean, yeah, unless someone tells men not to rape people, of course they will! What? That is insane. There are horrible human beings out there who do horrible things, but it's not because someone just didn't take the time to tell them not to. Men…
I freaking love Century 21. And, yeah, you can't really blame the poor guy working retail. So much of the stuff in there is mislabeled. No complaints, here though. I will gladly take my massive discount and bolt out of there. That being said, I kind of agree that people should probably just wear fake fur.
Haha, totally in jest. Good advice, though.
I'm gay, so I really don't worry about anything but a male condom, thank God. haha
