I've said it once, and I'll scream it again. The clutch provides SAFETY. It locks the gear in place so you can use your revs to keep you in a turn while moving fast, and I mean FAST. Try that with an automatic - double clutch or not, paddles don't have the same sensation.

you seem to forget how when the 360 first launched everyone, including myself, felt that it was just "an upscaled current gen console". It took a year or two before it really made a difference. Devs need time to tap the metal.

I think there should be more modern ways I could enjoy the game without hooking up a stationary system or looking for my GBA+translation patch of Mother 1+2.

well it was really a hipster thing more than a serious proposition all along - people who believed it's a proper console should be learning their lesson. I mean it's not the first time an underpowered console is made by some obscure manufacturer - anyone remember the GP32x?

You can't piggy-back a shitty console on the shoulders of retro games that someone else owns the legal rights to - that's just dirty marketing, pretty desperate and low, like a kick to the balls.
