After being eliminated during the regional spelling bee. I was less than ten people away from going to the national bee and the combination of losing and just the general stress of it all made me burst into tears as I left the stage. In hindsight I’m super glad I didn’t go to the national bee, though.

Aw, thanks dude! :)

Considering that’s most of the other comments currently up... yeah. Thanks for your second paragraph, it was very well said.

I’ve come too late to the party, but I actually have a story this week!

Truth. I was just in Paso this last weekend, it was lovely! Amador is also a great place to go, some hidden gems there without the Napa touristy vibe.

Yeah, I think he was trying to make a point about the “silenced” aborted children? But he did it by using an LGBT event. :/

That is a sad and frightening story. :(

Yeah, I’m not sure how he turned out so rabidly conservative. His family always seemed pretty moderate to me.

His family never seemed very conservative to me, more moderate, at least in my recollection. I remember he was involved with the Young Republicans at the high school and I seem to remember his family just being happy that he was so passionate and involved in something. Soooo... yeah, that’s how that worked out.

WELL, here’s something my sister remembered and it is just TERRIBLE:

I’m doxxing myself a little but Y’ALL I totally know this guy. We were neighbors growing up (I knew his sister better than him though). He was always crazy conservative, which for Davis is very odd. I never really expected this, though.

Now playing

This is all I could think about during this piece.

There was this one time a couple of my roommates and I were putting together a bookshelf. I left for five minutes to answer a phone call and returned to find the two of them hammering in screws.

A bidet. Not one of those crazy fancy ones with a thousand settings and lights and puffs of hot air or whatever — just a regular bidet. I haven’t been able to get it out of my head ever since I used one in Rome during a triple-digit heat wave. Cleaning off all the sweat and gross at the end of the day was the most

Considering I don’t wake up before noon most days if I can afford it (my shifts often go until 4 am or later), morning sex would be strictly off the table. But then I haven’t had sex in about four years so why am I even chiming in to this conversation.

That better have been one damn important text.

Saw Muse in Seattle a few years ago, the only concert I’ve really been to besides classical music (yeah, I’m that kind of nerd, also I’m poor). It was a blast, and an absolutely great live show. My friend and I snuck in booze and got smashed in the nosebleed seats — literally the last upper row of Key Arena. The seats

I’m late to the party so this will probably stay hidden in the grays.

Twin solidarity. Everyone always wants to ask me if my sister and I ever switched places in class/took each other’s tests/etc. No we did not. And then they get disappointed to find out I wasn’t living The Parent Trap IRL.
