I actually liked Freak Show a lot better, haha. Though I do think it suffered from eliminating the clown so early in the season. I think I just can’t quite hate on any of the seasons with Jessica Lange!

It’s seriously the worst. I’ve liked most previous seasons but I am just not enjoying this one at all. It’s awful.

I’ve had a lot of worst weeks, but this one’s pretty bad. I know I’m hella late to the party but I just have to spit this out onto the internet. Sorry for length.

Can Canada adopt us? (Only slightly kidding.)

Yes! I’m really excited to see where the show is headed. And so far I’m really pleased with how organically it offers these questions of morality without beating us over the head with them.

Bernard and Ford (that’s the head designer’s name, right? Anthony Hopkins?) are fascinating. I get the sense that Ford is all for the evolution of the hosts into fully sentient beings and Bernard, while certainly interested, is maybe a little more reserved? Like he thinks it’s fascinating but he’s not convinced it’s

No problem! I was also a little apprehensive about starting the show for the exact same reasons, but I’m not regretting giving it a chance. :)

This is just my personal opinion, but I don’t find the sexual violence to be gratuitous at all. Any actual rape/sexual assault has so far been off-screen, and the only explicit sexual content is with the “willing” prostitute hosts. There’s a subtext underneath all of the interactions within the park about consent:

I’ve been dying to get one of these home assistants to use in my garage/studio when I’m doing messy things. Since I spend a lot of my time with ink/clay/glue/whatever on my fingers, I’d love to be able to ask Google to play music, or remind me when I have to leave for my doctor’s appointment, or give me a news

Dude, I feel you. I was so invested in the show and fandom, but season three (mostly the season finale, tbh) just cooled me completely. Not to mention, WTF with the Klan robes in the Christmas special?? And I’m just not excited by the “darkness” of the upcoming season... I know they probably want to up the stakes,

Oh, snakes are definitely cool! I was in love with a corn snake named Becky when I was little (she lived at a nearby kid’s science center and the docents were nice enough to let us hold her whenever we visited). I just always envisioned my patronus/daemon as something warm and fuzzy. You’re messing with my worldview,

I got an adder and I am NOT SURE about that. Not that I dislike snakes, I like them fine, but as a Gryffindor it felt wrong somehow. I’m tempted to take the test again with a different account just for fun, haha.

When I was in college I decided to read it because I had heard my guy friends talk about it quite a lot at that point. They treated it like a how-to manual for approaching women/relationships. The response I got from them when I said I had started reading it? “I don’t know if I want you to read it, you’ll get mad.”

I don’t get it at all! And same to the slightly-douchey feeling of eating it out in public, haha. I swear it's just a delicious snack, not a Pinterest setup!

I wanted to scream recently when a couple of students at the place I volunteer called my avocado on toast snack “so instagram.”

Damn, I’m going to miss her so much. I shed a tear when she spoke about breaking the highest glass ceiling. A single, patriotic, womanly tear.

I love campy silliness!

Oh man, I didn't see that! Thanks :)

Thanks so much! :)

Hey y’all, I’m going to Edinburgh next month to visit a good friend. Any cool and somewhat affordable things you’d recommend in the area? If anyone has good day trip ideas I’d love to hear about them, since my friend does have work and schoolwork and I want to make sure and leave her space to study. :)
