By no means trying to denigrate the heartfelt work that these people obviously feel passionate about participating in and completing, but I can not wrap my head around them as so far in how worthwhile they will ‘eventually’ be.

When I first started playing the mission I thought that it was pretty cool in a trippy way. But as the mission kept going on (and on) I felt like it took the player (IE me) too far out of the experience of the main narrative. Not that I thought the story was great but this mission was ten times too long.

There is no arguing that the Game Pass library is 360 heavy but IMO a lot of them are worth playing or at least checking out, and the Xbox one games available are a pretty good scattershot of offerings.
I must admit that I was one of the many that joined into the mass chorus of hate for the game even though as an Xbox owner I really had no skin in the game, because it is the spiteful rite of modern gaming heralded by the lies of Molyneux.
I was a massive fan of the Sims 1 & 2 but sort of lost interest after that until I bought a better computer and tried some newer PC games many, many years later. Since I’ve never played 3 and have gotten into mods for PC games the Sims 4 is almost pure magic nostalgia with improvements across the board. I’m not going…
Hoping for a safe and quick recovery for you Mike. My favorite writer on a website about video games and I like his posts not about video games.
A+ but since i shelled out for MGS 5 a while back (but long after the game was new) the major component of goodness is gone for me.
Well I only play as a diversion from whatever full-on game I’m playing but I have some pretty crappy luck period. Maybe that’s why I haven’t caught the Fortnite bug like many others. Only one other guy on my friend list plays and he’s a little too obsessed with the idea that he’s good when he is really no better than…
Definitely a fan of the game but I always felt like the story kept gasping for some sort of momentum. The way the game is presented where you can go from one large story chunk, to time wasting side missions, to the more memorable character related content, makes things feel like they never gel or flow. In a game like…
I still reel with disappointment every time I see the game mentioned since launch.
Every time I read these I can’t help but feel like that there is such a level of perspective bias and self editing by the people seeking advice that it is unreality.
I think both the critic and the designer can be majority right in their own way.
ReCore is the only one that I can think of and I’m not sure of its sales numbers but having played the game on Game Pass it felt like one of those games that was meant to be $30 right out of the gate. A super basic platformer/shooter that felt 10 years past its window of appeal and would have been trounced in…
No one forced Rovio to go public. I still am, and was at the time of IPO, of the opinion that Rovio was on a sugar high of it’s very immediate success and THEY wanted to get in on Wall Street money knowing that most investors will pick up on the buzzword of Angry Birds while not really having any concept of the future…
Is the Co-Op just for specific missions or can you free roam out side of missions with a friend?
No problem with the article really whatsoever besides the title. It’s a solid fluff subjective article but it is titled like a fact.
That was figured out within the same after noon
Absolutely correct. I never played No Man’s Sky but was an observer for the criticism that the game received.
And the social interactions and hijinks were something fantastic until we all started wondering why we were doing what we were doing. And then were learned the answer was for nothing but cosmetics.
