They can often be profitable if done right. It's unlikely Mass Effect 3 cost more than $40m, and it make $250m in its first month I believe.
Witcher 2 was made in Poland, where labour is significantly cheaper.
They're not going to make a $40m AAA game for a failed television and movie franchise, are they?
Sounds like somebody from Reddit.
I love SW:TOR. Still playing 18 months later :)
Yeah I absolutely agree with that.
Yeah but I quite liked it. For example if you were a sarcastic twat for the whole game, but then decided to make a good choice, you would still do it sounding like a sarcastic twat.
I was pretty disappointed with the dialogues. The thing about those style dialogues is that what Bioware does is make sure that most of the lines in the game are actually interesting, whereas what they've done here seems to be adding tonnes of characters for no reason.
Exactly, money I would have spent on an XBO is now going towards a GTX880 next Spring. Probably three times as powerful as a 'next-gen' console.
I'm sticking with the PC until Fable IV personally, for the same sort of reasons.
I agree. Some of the textures on those rocks were downright 2007, let alone 2013.
Like Halo then, full of a fascinating universe you can learn all about.....in the books.
Dude, clearly you're a crazy conspiracy theorist but I'll try and make a point. If the government wants to get you, they can. If the government wants to arrest you, they can.
What non-offensive replacement can we use for retard and spastic then? And don't say 'crazy'.
Every Halo after 2 and all the Forzas are exclusive. Fable II, Heroes and The Journey. Every Gears of War after the first ones. A lot more older ones too, and some newer ones that I've forgotten.
Yeah, this'll actually be my second time playing through the game. If you're new though- stick with it, one of the best RPG's I've ever had the pleasure of enjoying.
Welcome to Kotaku.
I don't really like shooters, so I won't.
A single Xbox user? Those who don't care for story in games, or who don't want to spend (waste?) $60 on a 12 hour linear game with average mechanics and an exceptional story?
