Couple of years ago I read an exchange suggesting Pedro Pascal (hot off GoT) as Strange. Marvel's first Hispanic lead, folks suggested. Someone then stated that "Latinos were white" and of course arguments ensued, resulting in a death spiral of reasonable discourse.

Jimmy Woo would be a fantastic choice as Marvel's first tv/movie Asian hero.

And for him to have come from a deeply sheltered background - like "spent half his life in an alien city that only intersects with Earth's dimension every few years" sheltered - he's even more unaware of social implications like that.
