I feel like that didn't need to be thrown in there though, because it DOES kind of undermine FFIX's quality. The first thing you read is "it may not be the BEST, but.." that just kind of gives the quality of the game in question this negative air to anyone who may not have played it yet. It's like if a new album comes

Listen. there was once a time when a "tacked-on" multiplayer mode would have had me thinking that the focus on the single player would suffer. I no longer believe that is the case. Times have changed. Developers know how people feel about "unnecessary" multiplayer elements and they're not going to subtract anything

YEESSSSS.

Tell me I'm not insane. The stillshot.. the Vader silhouette... looks like Batman wearing a big bowtie over the Bat symbol on his chest.

I didn't. I really hope we're starting to come to a balance, where neither the single player or the multiplayer sides of things feel tacked on or just added for good measure. Games like Uncharted, which many people only buy for the single player, have pretty solid multiplayer experiences. And vice versa, games like

That was beautiful. And jeez, could she be more adorable? I just wanna give her a big slightly-too-long hug.

I agree that games don't NEED replay value, but I think a part of the reason why people complain about this so much is because, in games like these, they see an opportunity for games to HAVE replay value and that opportunity is not taken advantage of.

Anyone else think that this is, in fact, great marketing? Just me? Okay.

Adventure Time is a show where characters do weird things all of the time. a good 80% of the time someone on screen is wiggling. I do not think that this charming little art style has the necessary wiggles. Tell him to get more wiggles.

It's funny, I've always heard pretty mixed-to-negative things about it too, and just kinda had it in my head that the game was widely bashed... but checking Metacritic now, you're right, it got pretty good ratings... hmm. Weird.

This is the FIRST thought I had when I saw the picture.

I laughed so hard when I saw it.

Wow. Legitimately thought this was real.

Congrats and welcome! I've enjoyed what I've seen of you so far and look forward to reading more.

Pretty cool. Won't really stand out on shelves, especially compared to other Metal Gear game cover art, but I really think I need to stop making that comparison anyway

They truly don't look that bad. If I were a kid I'd probably... well I'd humor the idea before deciding that I preferred the sleek and sexy Wii U design.

Welp, I have no idea what I just watched. I just know that I am very intrigued.

You, and this comment, are both my favorite.

That should be the 11th incarnation of the Final Fantasy series, not the 10th.

Kirby's always been easy and rarely has it been criticized for this before Return to Dreamland came out. Even then, I believe the complaint is that, Kirby being easy is fine, when it's also being refreshing and innovative.
