Standing filming a person is not bothering/interrupting/assaulting a cop. We’ll see how this shakes out but there are multiple cases of cops taking violent action against civilians who are filming but otherwise remaining unobtrusive.

Nah, there was someone from outside the US wondering why the woman needed a GoFundme to cover medical expenses too.

We have a president who is actively trying to destroy our healthcare system because it was created by a black communist Kenyan African-American secret Muslim Brotherhood Hawaiian socialist foreigner. You figure it out.

It said that it would not make the body camera footage public “at this time,” and that the store’s security camera video would have to be released by the store itself.

It costs $130 just to go to a general practice, have them take your vitals, and ask you how you are feeling.

“She struck her front teeth on the pavement”.

Dead or alive, you’re coming with me!

Assuming the store’s surveillance video back’s up the husband’s account, this seems like a slam dunk for Pizer.

I hope that surveillance video is clear enough to cost every cop at the scene their badge.

There is NOTHING lawful about an order to stop filming police.

But is it really that dumb? We live in a country where cops are almost never punished for breaking the law or doing anything they’re not supposed to do, even when there’s clear video evidence that they were in the wrong (see for example: Laquan McDonald and Philando Castillo). Hell, even when cops are found guilty

You ever hear of “unnecessary use of force?” Maybe he should have just shot her! That non-existent drink might have choked him, his special snowflake life was in danger!

Yeah, every single cop I know would vehemently disagree with you. The response was out of proportion to the alleged action.

Even if she actually did throw a cold drink at a cop (which I doubt), she did not deserve fractured teeth, a concussion, a skull fracture, a burn from her damaged Apple Watch, spinal injury aggravations, and multiple lacerations. Period. End of sentence.

Unfortunately typical response by police. I’ve worked with a couple really good cops but have also mostly had interactions with really terrible ones. By cops own admission: you should NEVER trust police. Police are, by law, allowed and encouraged to lie to you and manipulate you. It is a crucial part of their job and

FYI, the phone on which she recorded the encounter was severely damaged when she was knocked to the ground, fracturing her skull. She is currently working on getting her phone repaired, and I’m sure the footage will be illuminating, to say the least.

Face smashed into pavement for throwing a drink?

It sure sounds like the cops’ explanation is one of the cookie-cutter excuses that they use when they beat the shit out of someone for no good reason. I absolutely believe that they brutalized this woman.

If she actually threw a drink on the officer, then she got everything she deserved.

An apple a day knocks your teeth out for filming it arrest someone.
