My 4l80e transplant ;-) Self built and modded. Upgraded BCS, internally dual fed and other little things including tuning.

There is no huge power loss. Here is a comparison dyno. What is negative is the 150+ lbs (I’ve lifted the 80e/60e and its biiig), and also the taller 1st gear. You can regear 1st or go with a higher stall. I did the higher stall.

You’re missing the 4l80e swap.

You missed the 4l80e swap which requires custom crossmember, custom rear driveshaft, HD/custom front driveshaft, rewiring, and then the tune for a segment swap. You also need a custom torque converter to get the 4l80e attached to a LS flexplate. Then there are the trans cooler lines if a later model 4l80e. This is

I almost went to Mines! Then on my campus tour I noted no ladies so took the Boulder route. They had more ladies, but I was in engineering. At least it was the coolest engineering, ME. Boulder was just nuts at times.

My roommate was nice enough, quiet, nerdy, purple doc martens. Who was I to judge as an engineering student. Plus it was my freshman year and I was from out of state so needed any type of friend I could get.

I have first hand experience concerning their crumple zones. Let just say I met a cop under strange circumstances a couple weeks ago... at 35mph. Wheee!!!
