My first ride was a used '96 Cherokee (I miss that 4.0). I specifically sought out a model with manual windows and locks after seeing power windows and locks fail so often in our Chrysler/Dodge minivans.

Unfortunate. I got my 2020 Veloster for around $20k at the end of that same year. I’d go for the Kia here for sure, as even Kia/Hyundai’s base trims feature a touchscreen with Android/Apple auto and are replete with modern safety features. In fact, I’ll probably get something like a Rio for my kid when the time comes.

I think the Wendy’s fries of the past 10-15 years are just the old “non curly” option that Arby’s used to offer. I forgot what they called them on their menu.

Down in the South we have this place called CookOut. Double burger, slaw, onion rings, and a drink for $7. Tons of other options and 40+ flavors of shakes, and the ice cream is always working. Regional fast food places are the way to go for sure.

He needn't worry, my uncle at Nintendo can take care of it.

I prefer the Jazzmaster as well (G&L Doheny is my variant of choice), but I had a Jaguar, and it has its advantages. Definitely a more aggressive and piercing sound than the Jazzmaster.

My Gateway from 2003 still works just fine, replete with its 2.66GhZ P4 (w/Hyper threading!) and humble GeForce FX 5200.

It’s been almost 40 years; with the emergence of electronic warfare, it’s become priority to harden robots and drones against as many forms of radiation as possible. However, the Chernobyl “roof situation” was quite unique and a product of Soviet plant design. The problem was the graphite-tipped control rods that took

The A-10s cannon is destructive for sure, but it isn’t exactly accurate, which kind of offsets its rate of fire in the efficiency realm. The Bushmaster is much better in that regard. Our allies in various theaters have not been quite as gung-ho about CAS being delivered by A-10s as one might think, especially if the

Another SLUFF bites the dust...heartbreaking. 😥

Stefan? I'm headed to the Big Apple soon, and I need a classic New York experience for my family.

It’s far from a pretty console, but my Saturn has held up quite well. I can’t believe that ancient disc drive still works. Just have to replace the ROM battery and touch up the mod chip soldering every now and then. I need to get a CRT TV so I can break out the light guns and play Virtua Cops 1&2 and HoTD with the

Free Bloodborne!

Yeah, it’s new engine time for From. Elden Ring looks good, but it could have looked much better, and, crucially, performed better. I started it on a GTX 970 and had to pin it to 900p for any hope of playability. Recently got a 3050, and, damn a solid 60fps makes a huge difference with this game. Tried the RT, but,

Spiderman on PC uses a pretty simple implementation, so simple my 3050 handled it with ease (admittedly with DLSS). You don’t notice when RT is on until you turn it off. Whole blocks of the city go dark at night because they are no longer reflecting/refracting ambient lights. Window reflections are also greatly

On PC, it was the little things I noticed in Spiderman. Without Ray-Tracing the reflections when near a window are quite blurry and really only show the player character. With RT, that same window adds pretty hi-def reflections from other buildings and the general environment. It also cool how buildings that were

One reason I love my 2020 Veloster. The screen is awesome for Android Auto stuff, but everything else is physically controlled and located just where you’d expect it to be if you've driven a car in the last 30 years.

I only used the Wii I was gifted for emulation. Now that I’ve got a Steam Deck, not to mention a custom loaded SNES mini, it sits in its box. The Saturn gets broken out more often than the Wii.

Im with you. I like the games, particularly 0 and Y:LaD, but they aren’t full-price purchases for me. I usually have had my fill at 20 hours or so, though the RPG nature of LaD, which I played on Game Pass, kept me around much longer. Thankfully, they also go on deep sales often enough that I don’t feel bad grabbing

I neeeed to feel big.
