I’m really not sure. My tablet runs 9.0 and my phone is 6.1., and it works on both, so beyond looking at it in the app store, I can’t offer much advice. I prefer Steam Link and only use Moonlight for games like Forza that don't play nice with Steam shortcuts.

The Moonlight Streaming App allows you to use Nvidia Shield streaming on any Android device. I bought a new 8" tablet and telescoping controller primarily to use Steam Link and Nvidia for the few games that don’t play nice with Steam. It’s awesome.
