I grew up in a Charismatic church, and they put hands on me all time, squeezing my temples, saying “dont fight the Holy Spirit,” expecting me to be “slain by the spirit” and fall down from its power. I never went down, but they sure made me feel guilty about it (you are too prideful to submit to God, etc). Once, they

Some animals are more equal than others...

I for one, applaud Chic Fil' A for not giving into the anti-MSG police and gracing their filets with the zen-inducing flavor of umami. But thats all I can applaud them for...

Given that, maybe the police shouldn’t be so quick to deploy SWAT, especially if they don’t have eyes on the situation. Maybe check if its necessary to call in the big guns. American police tend to be reactive, rather than proactive. They tend to be undertrained and operate out of fear/self-preservation, relying

Naw, most rural Superstores in GA still sell guns. The two in my small city don't, but I know of 3 within an hours drive that do.

Good points. I always want more NXT, but if it isn’t NXT as it is, then I don’t want it at all. Saturday night is the best part of big PPV weekends. I won't move from the couch for Takeover, but I’ll be spending all week sifting through five hours of Summer Slam to see the few matches I care about.

Well, at least Tramp looks like a “tramp” in this one. In the cartoon, he is clearly just 1 gene away from Miniature Schnauzer.

There is no empathy in our power systems nor in those who continue to support and will vote for Trump. They are complicit. How entire spiel is based around selfish ignorance, which itself, is the foundation of "The American Dream."

No one seems to question the jobs that have “been” created. Working 39 hours for scraps and no benefits at the Wal-Mart (where you will spend your paycheck before going home—the modern version of “the company store”) isn’t the kind of job that puts a person on the path to financial security or personal dignity.

Evidently, there are only two options for perp transportation for Texan horseback policemen, as quoted in training manual: “If he’s actin pretty white,’ tie that boy up with a rope and let ‘em walk down the street like he’s almost a man but, if that boy gets uppity, ”Hog tie ‘em and throw ‘em over like a saddle bag!”

When I was in college, Army recruiters gave us a free first-person-shooter called “America’s Army” or something. We tried a round or two of it over the LAN, but quickly figured out it sucked and went back to Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory and HALO.

Well, considering Metal Gear isn't even in the game, I don't consider it essential beyond nostalgia/completionist sake. As for Snake's Revenge...well, I hear it isn't that bad of a game, but the first 5 minutes are so frustrating I've never really given it a shot.

After playing MSX MG, it is really hard to commit to the NES version. I also have a physical GB cartridge and finally beat it a few years ago on my still-functioning launch Purple GBC. That stupid conveyor belt level put me off of finishing it for years.

In ‘99 it was DOOM, now it’s Call of Duty, which, to be fair, is the absolute best advertising mechanism for the gun industry. Colt, FN, Heckler & Koch, Smith & Wesson, et al. get PAID for their guns to be featured in the games. If we are going to look at video games in relation to gun violence, this financial

Solid Snake is probably my 3rd favorite Metal Gear Game, behind Snake Eater and MGS 1. It has to be one of the most ambitious 8-bit games made. Its a shame we never got an SNES or Genesis port. The story is great, the game is huge, and there are some really creative item puzzles. I can’t recommend it enough. I added

I can promise you that Trump has never "read it for the articles." 😂

And, just like wrestling, it really sucks when a lame heel is champion.

Well, according to the evangelicals, America didn’t elect Trump at all. God put him in the White House as a “King Cyrus,” a leader who may not be an ideal “man of faith,” but it is a friend to the poor, persecuted Christian right and Israel (i.e. Trump is a necessary cog in the clockwork of the apocolypse).

Considering how Hitler’s “hands-on” approach to military strategy and aquisitions (all the resources he wasted on nascent technology and wonder weapons) essentially made the war unwinnable for Germany sooner than it should have been, can you imagine a conventional war under Trump? He would ignore his generals, make

At first, I thought you meant those styrofoam “Hulkamania” hands one might have bought at a late 80's wrasslin match. For a second I thought, “hey, just let the Hulkster do the pummeling.” Then I realized if Vince McMahon and Hogan were involved, we’d probably end up seeing a reach-around instead. Too bad Muhammed Ali
