As a commercial kitchen refrigeration mechanic, (I don’t like the term technician) I can attest that hardware stores and marine supply are Gods gifts when the highly priced “correct” part is days away on a holiday weekend. MacGyver it up all the way, it may even last longer than the right part!

Mom arm is a seatbelt even if you are using a seatbelt.

My new jeep came with a heated steering wheel. Maybe I just got old, and things are creeky on this body of mine full of city miles, but I now wish everything I owned had one. That and heated lumbar.

Couple of years ago in Maine a jogger killed a rabid racoon by drowning it in a puddle with her bare hands after it attacked her. Talk about badass!
