Eh, they both have their charms and their foibles. They’re pretty different, obviously, but I don’t know that that translates to one or the other being appreciably “better” overall, at least in an objective sense.

It’s even worse with devices that require other media to work! Like if I buy a brand new tablet or phone or GPU or whatever, when it’s hot off the presses at least you’re not going to wait for companies (many of them not the manufacturer) to make stuff so you can use your new gizmo.
