Holy cow! If this were closer, I would take the rest of the day off work to go pick it up. Nice price all the way. Look at just about anything else in the $1300 range and you'll be hard-pressed to find a reliable commuter/fun to drive ride in decent shape.

No joke - there's a guy around here that appears to daily-drive one very similar to this...the sound alone makes small children run and hide.

I gotta go with A-Team van. Honorable mention to anybody that daily-drives a gasser.

I voted for the Maverick, thinking for some reason that there was a 351 available...then I looked it up and found out it topped out with the 302.

as an age-old AMC nerd, I gotta say the amount of AMCs in the poll brings a small tear of joy to my eye. Well played, Torchinsky

I voted for the machine, over my own Javelin...the square jaw of the machine and the mandatory 390 won me over, since the SST was available with a 232 I6.

Target customer? Not sure even he would get into that kind of torture (edit - I found the linked picture too creepy to embed, so I'm pasting the link below and swapping out the embedded link for something less horrendous.) [img.gawkerassets.com].

When I was in high school, ca. 1993 or so, my buddy's dad had one of these parked in his garage with 3 flat tires and some sort of drivability issues. Looked like a derelict KITT back then...

The slide whistle is my favorite part. In high School, my little brother had a 75 Hornet and I had a 75 Matador Coupe...total value of the two combined was about $700. Good thing we never thought to try and replicate any scenes from this terrible, terrible 007 film.

I second - My 78 had 285,000 when my young and stupid self let it overheat badly when the alternator/water pump belt broke on the freeway. I'm still convinced that it had hundreds of thousands of miles left in it.

I had to vote crack pipe but only because there's no way I could actually fit in/drive it.

Exactly right. This is why I HC'd you long ago. The original Eleanor & the Lincoln Continental from the original Matrix definitely should be there. I could get behind the Tardis, too. See attached photo for one that I've had my eye on from Woot for months...but I'm pretty sure my wife would mock me mercilously if I

HC for that - well played..

I hear ya - 73 Javelin...I've had it for 19 years and it was actually driveable for about 2 months back in 1999. Still...realistic...

I had an 84 Celica GT and thoroughly enjoyed the DIN-sized equalizer. Was a little sad when I replaced the radio with a CD player, but had to keep with the times and the EQ was getting a little crackly.

I'm ashamed to admit that I was not aware of SKYACT I, SKYACT II or SKYACT III. How they got to IV without me knowing really makes me wonder about my priorities in life.

Kudos for using "unirregardless"

I reject your context, and will have none of it in my world view. Fye on you, sir. Fye on you.

I agree about the moving target. Just because the browns aren't playing doesn't mean I can't still watch the Superbowl. I can't call Clint a flip-flopper for this one.
