@Kate's dirty sister: That's how you know the Cimarron is a favorite of the driving enthusiast!

"This one's got the touch"?!?!? As in, you'd have to be a little touched to buy one, maybe.

Maybe Steve Davis should hire OJ Simpson to search for the real JFK ambulance.

I'm George W. Bush and I approve this QOTD.

@Hoonabumper: Honestly, I thought it would have been the first one posted.

Daimler Dart FTW.

Yay. Another paint-and-tape special. Somebody should check Lamborghini's (and Porsche's...and BMW's...and Mercedes') HR files and see if Lee Iacocca is on the payroll as a consultant.

Calling this car "race ready" (or even "track ready", for that matter) seems a bit of a stretch. Looks more like a street car that somebody added some bolt-ons to so it would look kinda, sorta like a race car.

As long as they have Egan (and the occasional Sam Posey-authored feature), I will keep reading R&T. When those two are gone, I don't think there'd be a reason to.

So it looks like Porsche, Mercedes, and BMW have finally decided to jump on the paint-and-tape "special edition" bandwagon (pioneered by the Big 3 decades ago) with a vengeance. Can "Buy a car, get a check" commercials featuring Matthias Mueller be far behind?

No thanks. I think I'd prefer the Brown Series.

@Ravey Mayvey Zombie: She was there, albeit anesthetized, when the implants were put in. I'm sure she knows they're fake.

@dieselkopf: Yeah, it would—although I'd be wanting to do some upgrades to ensure sufficient braking capacity, load-rated tires, etc. Assuming a strong enough rear-end, I'm sure it would have no problem *pulling* a race rig. I'd just be worried about *stopping* it.

So this one's got the towing package?

@Dave Pevsner: Yeah, well, there's a reason Pirelli chose Heidfeld to help them develop the new tire for next season. He's pretty much a drama-free driver who can crank out lap after lap at slightly-better-than-average speed and not destroy the car. In fact, that should probably be his epitaph.

@Dave Pevsner: Actually, Heidfeld was never much of a crasher and I believe he has the longest streak of race finishes of any driver in F1, ever. He's always been smooth, consistent and quick, but he's also been consistently not quite quick enough. And in the end, I think that is what did in his F1 career—quick (but
