I don’t drive cars, because I don’t have a driving license. Yet, I don’t go around complaining that I am being discriminated against because I know very well that if I wanted to, I could have lessons, pass a test and then drive.

For many people, there is not a significant difference between overt racist acts and supporting (through your votes) a racist.

they are protesting that trump won due to an electoral college system that gives outsized power to rural, less populated states that have grown to contain a smaller portion of our population over the past 50-70 years as more and more of the citizenry lives on cities.

While the protests themselves may not have a direct effect on anything, the mainstream media’s coverage and constant barrage of news stories might.

Unless people pass a test to prove that they have at least a minimum knowledge of what’s going on in the country and in the world, they should not be allowed to vote.
