Meaningless to whom? Top 6 teams fighting for positions in the Euro tournaments? If anything, Everton lost the meaningless games this spring. 

The Toffees have plenty to be excited about. The Reds didn’t win and Everton took 11 points in 5 games against the top 6 in the latter half of the season. Lots of momentum at the end of the year.
