More and more this whole nightmare is looking like a really bad production of The Wizard of Oz - except worse - because we’re living it.

Every fucking time about every fucking issue... unless its their family or friends, they just dont care. To the GOP, empathy is a foreign concept - and its all too clear what they think of foreigners.
Same old story: Selfish, Republican shithead winds up in a situation where they have to actually use the social benefits which they have heretofore spent so much time and effort railing against. Lightbulb turns on over their head and they realize the value of social programs. Lather, rinse, repeat.
Not just to die. To die a horrible, disoriented, agonisingly painful, slow death.
I’m guessing not too many of the dopes who paid for this festival are going to really have problems with the rent next month. Mom’s check will clear just fine.
Ugh! I get lectured by coworkers about how I should travel more and the privilege and condescension drives me insane. Like hey, would love to. My husband has been unemployed for a year. I live in the most expensive real estate market in the US. I am in debt from taking care of an unemployed ex on entry level income in…

The only way Kendall Jenner would be smoking hot is if you set her on fire.
Basically: he lost a lot of weight so he could be Chris Pratt in a Marvel movie. No, that’s not a typo. He is one note and whether he believes it or not, his tone is off.
what year did Coachella officially jump the shark and become 100% about fashionistas and “looks”?
Ehhh, that’s bullshit, sorry. Dunham created this “voice of a generation” show, and it’s really just Sex and the City redux. It’s nonsense, and while I’ve watched most of it, and it is funny sometimes, I really can’t stand most of the characters, especially Hannah. As a black native New Yorker, I find the shows…
I find it amusing when people talk about how we shouldn’t conflate Hannah Horvath with Lena Dunham, because honestly every time I read an interview with her it make sure me realize that while Hannah is fictional, Dunham is actually championing many of her worst qualities rather than lampooning them.
Yeah but a lot of the criticism was valid. The lily white Brooklyn, it is trapped in its quirks and then you get honest emotional episodes peppered in then the characters stay stuck. Yes that happens in real life but so do a myriad of other banal things that don’t make interesting tv. There’s a lot of bullshit…
I like the show, but I still think that it has some issues. A few episodes ago, she had Elijah audition for White Men Can’t Jump and make friends with a black woman — and in the post-episode recap thing, Dunham was talking how the black woman was his “spirit guide” — with apparently zero understanding of the trope of…
You’re right, its easier just to drone strike them.
I kinda feel like the movie gets hate for depicting people from 1997 realistically.
