I’m glad most everyone else sees through this ridiculous narrative. Just because you play the victim card doesn’t mean you’re free from criticism.

I do that too. Except my reason is so I don’t have to deal with the blinded horde clamoring for the exits.

O God Dammit! You got me thinking a stealth announcement of Breath of the Wild 2 for a couple seconds there.

I can’t believe the Tower of Babel fable didn’t make it into this blog post.

I think there used to be an entire subblog about nudey games on Kotaku.

I liked the Compete banner.  It let me know which articles to skip lol.

It is. It, being Esports coverage, was on Kotaku 100% before March 2017. 95% of Compete articles were shared between Kotaku and/or Deadspin between March 2017 and now. It’s going to be on Kotaku 100% again.

This was an attempt to make inroads on Deadspin’s readers.

Traditional Sports fans don’t really like Esports. But

I’ve had Far Cry 3: Classic on my Xbox for weeks now?  Did I accidentally download something I shouldn’t have?

Oh I agree. I’m not saying I don’t like the posts.

Incoming “my wallet is going to hate me” posts.

Couldn’t they just call themselves + then? That should include just about anyone.

I’m sorry for coming off rough dude. But Syd’s posts are obvious trolling. You being serious and whining about him whining is Syd’s goal. Welcome to the internet.

TLDR: You took the bait.

This is peak nerd. But it made me crack a smile nonetheless.

Aye my 2 faves have been after 3. Syndicate and Black Flag were awesome.

Oh I see where you’re coming from.

I wasn’t even taking the compensation factor into the equation. It seems that the internet might kill the classic professional critic job. Although this isn’t isolated to only critics. The entire legacy media sector is in danger. I don’t know anyone under 35 who watches anything on

I’m not certain I agree with you still on the critic part. At least the professional critic. The halcyon days of these critics might very well be over.

The people doing these audience ratings on metacritic or rotten tomatoes are the most engaged. Only 2% or less of the audience submits these scores I would wager. One

Right. In my opinion artists should go back to the apprentice/master type dynamic. The college degrees system does not behoove them well.

There is some truth to “who cares what the critics think.”

For example, on movies and games I’ll take the audience scores much more seriously than the critics. Probably because the

I find it amazing how many people on here think they are entitled to a company’s jobs.
