Well if you think about it a limited preorder is essentially the same as release day of a product with some degree of scarcity.

Heads up: Forza 5 is generally known as the worst Forza in the series. They fixed some of the issues but it still relies on microtransactions too much. They righted the ship though with subsequent installments of the series.

Well, Microsoft paid Square Enix to speed/focus development on Tomb Raider in exchange for a year of exclusivity.

 Activision gets Sony to bribe them to withhold little pieces of Destiny/CoD in exchange for nothing.

Activision did this way before Destiny with Call of Duty timed crap.
