I made it to 295 in a 86 Celica. Then some guys tried to carjack me and smashed the windshield in the process. I figured that was a good reason to get a new car. Gave the car away and it was driven for a while without a windshield.
If it reaches 1M, it doesn’t deserve a trophy. It deserves to BE a trophy, on a pedestal for all to admire. Like the Hilux they couldn’t destroy on Top Gear- it’s earned its throne.

I am generally anti-convertibles, but this is a car I can understand making that exception on. It certainly amplifies its enjoyment/proficiency at cruising/joy riding, even it does come at a price in terms of athleticism and performance.
My issue with this car is that it is just so competent as to be almost clinical. There is very little drama or theatre here that makes other cars of similar money (or less) more enjoyable to drive.
