Zinke’s loathesome, and there’s clearly lots to criticize there, but I don’t see how having Starbucks as part of an existing food court really changes anything much.

I mean there was already a really mediocre pizza place there so I don’t see what’s different about this.

It’s the very same people who say ‘why didn’t he just comply’ that are the first to say the ‘cops feared for their lives.’

If Zuck doesn’t think he’s the right person to go before Congress, then he isn’t the right person to be CEO of Facebook. That’s part of the job when you’re the CEO of a company that fucks up in a major way.

“This can be a very mean-spirited town. But you don’t have to choose to participate in that.” - Rex

I honestly don’t know what is three steps beyond “closing the barn door after the horse is out,” maybe shutting down all the coal-fired power plants after Florida is already underwater, or something, but whatever that thing is, this is it.

You mean that someone made a rule that doesn’t address the real problem AND affects women in an unfair way?

Anything to not have to deal with the actual fucking problem.

No wonder teenagers think they know everything already, when adults are doing everything in their power to prove how profoundly fucking stupid they are.

Sooooo.... what do girls do with their tampons and pads?
Or are the ladies still able to bring purses?

When I was in highschool we weren’t allowed to carry purses—- which usually meant that when I was on my period I was forced to use toilet paper—- or walk all the way back to my room and carry my backpack to the

All you sad baby boomers who are hurt by the realities of how your generation has destroyed this country and are using your sad retirements (which subsequent generations will not get, thanks so much) to troll progressive, feminist blogs are going to be dismissed. Obviously.

That sounds like fun for the girls carrying pads and tampons around.

If McDonalds started building bridges and an early one collapsed, you don’t think there’d be a few people questioning why a fast food giant was doing infrastructure?

So many comedians are so fragile about criticism. One of my favorites went on a tear this week and proclaimed he’ll no longer interact with fans on social media b/c of some semi-critical (but certainly not nasty or personal) comments here and there. I’d previously thought it was pretty cool that he interacted with

“If someone writes an online article or Tweets at you criticizing your work aren’t they doing the same thing-informing your boss and the world of their low opinion and hoping the internet will pile on and bother you?”

“sometimes i forget that i belong to all of you now, and that any thought i have should be filtered through you, and receive ur approval.”

One of the great things about Twitter is the chance for people on all social levels to interact. I think it’s fair to answer back, even disparagingly, to people who criticize you or your work, even if they don’t do it at you. That being said, more famous and popular people are, I think, responsible for answering

idk dude, i’d like to be able to coordinate things with my teams without being called a faggot

You always put things so well, but I do have one thing to add to this:

I’m curious to see where this all goes—and hopeful that it will lead to something productive.

There’s no 100% cure for people being assholes; no matter how great the community, or how well it is monitored, there will always be dipshits within the group that feel the need to be toxic, aggressive, or otherwise
