Funny to see that picture! That's my driveway. (My neighbor is the scooter denizen.)

Sounds like quite a cool summer job. I would love to see a Turbine car in person!
How about just doing some actual investment in the existing "heavy-equipment highways" — our rail system.
Nah, it has a different relationship between the rear wheel and the C-pillar. The C-pillar base is toward the rear of the wheel well on the mystery car, not right at the midpoint like on the Cressida.
I am also irked by the incorrect diagram. If it were correctly done (attributes as the circles, zombies/aliens/robots as the intersection areas) I would probably buy one, but not with the diagram in this format.
@Van Sarockin, rogue trebuchet: On the inventory management front, I note a good number of Mustangs in driveways, but to see lots of Camaros in my area I just go to the rental counter at the airport.
@Turbineguy - now with Firefox!: I think that was a special episode of Simon & Simon, right?
@mkbruin: Celebrity or not, I'm sure some of those drivers who had a near miss would like to take a Cutlass to her.
@TurboB7: Multi-link suspensions with joints made of pure Black Forest Unobtainium add up to real money quite quickly. I found that older Benzes are peculiar beasts in that if they sit unused for even a short time, your problems increase geometrically. One problem turns into five as connectors corrode, hoses that had…
@P161911 probably shoudn't have: We were also sitting on the outside of 10B. I'm happy for the 'vette teams but sad to see Risi's hours of effort fall apart like that (hey, they're from my hometown, gotta cheer for 'em most of the time). The GT class was great racing this weekend. Rahal/Letterman folks were staying at…
@rickerbr: our effort was substandard also. Multiple problems with the car and the brain-melting heat meant we were very inefficient in diagnosis and repair. Will you be trying to go to Louisiana in November?
@Scandinavian Flick: Too late. With the start of US backlash against HFCS, the price of HFCS dropped even more and they've started selling it to (wait for it...)... Mexican Coke bottlers. The last MexiCoke I bought here in Houston (about two weeks ago) was made with corn syrup, not cane sugar.
@BeanBone: I've taught three others using techniques similar to Cheeseslap's, and will be teaching my 15-yr-old cousin soon. First time was for a friend who wisely knew he shouldn't attempt to teach his own wife to do it. (I'm in Houston if you decide an "external" coach is desirable in your case too.) Rice U is a…
@electricworry: I agree, it's certainly within easy haggling distance of a nice price.
@rodrigotrigo: I think the best demonstration was in the aftermath of Hurricane Ike. Houstonians did fine for a while, but it wears off. Remember how smoothly it all worked with no traffic lights for a while when everyone was still in the "we're all in this together" polite phase? Two weeks later when it had grown…
@7shades: I would love to go to Australia to see that contrast in geography. My mother visited last year and raved about what a great trip she had. I hadn't really considered how much of the US I'd seen but in total I've hit 35 of the states, so I guess I've done pretty well.
@bearslayer: Bernie makes his money from fees and television, do you think population density and fans in the seats are that important to him? Consider that Istanbul is happening this weekend again even though I've read reports of only about 36,000 attendees last year and tarps over parts of the grandstands.
@pjsammy: for Houston's recent races ChampCar did a night race one year, an afternoon the next, and both were pretty well attended so I'd guess F1 won't have too much fear of Austin weather. As long as TX motorsports wishes are coming true, can we in Houston get an ALMS event again pleeeeze?
@BingleyJoe: The Sebring is my newest abomination exposure, but that's just continuing a tradition for Dodge with me. Sebring is the worst car of the 2000s; worst-driving car I experienced in the 1990s was a Dodge Dynasty. Horrid plastics and disconnected steering are a tradition, it seems.
