I hope you embraced this instead of it traumatizing you. I was socially awkward, and I never had the "cool" clothes, and eventually I leaned into and became a real weirdo, which made me much happier.

Damn, that's solid.
I was a pretty passive Talking Heads fan prior to seeing Stop Making Sense, I only had Sand In the Vaseline. Watching the movie was life changing for me.

Certainly wouldn't make a sandwich with it.
My god I love it so much. I used to have it as a ringtone about ten years ago.
I love it. I find it heartbreaking in that first gruesome transformation in her apartment, when he's screaming in pain, with the door open so the whole world can hear, and yet no one comes to help him. For some reason, that really resonated with me.
What's best is my wife went along with it!
OMG i can't believe I forgot. I named my second son Ash! D'oh!
I just got the Scream! Factory Blu Ray and it looks great. It's one of my favorites.
In terms of horror/comedy mashups, only Shaun of the Dead touches it in my opinion.
Holy shit, I don't think a movie made me more angry than that Day remake. Not only because of the terrible, awful, no-good CGI, but the vegetarian zombie and the one I call the "Spider-Man Zombie" that illustrates just how awful the effects are.
Do you wanna PARRRRRRR-TAY?! It's party time!!
Yeah I liked the original, but I saw it nearly two decades ago, and I can't say it's stuck with me beyond remembering it was good. Rental it is!
They have it for rent on Amazon for $3.99, I'll have to rent it when everyone is out of the house.
ETA: OH snap the Blu-Ray is less than $10, not sure I need to own it though.
Or Gibby Haynes.
Thanks, I'm definitely going to try and see it!
He was damn creepy in 54, but I haven't seen it since it was new (to VHS!). I didn't know there was a directors cut out.
That's exactly it. The government is far too incompetent. Plus, far too many people would have to have knowledge and none of them ever slip up and leak it? Please.
My ex girlfriend from high school's mom is named Michael. I've seen it a handful of times since then. But God help you if you called her "Michelle", which happened all the time because people assumed it was a typo or something.
I felt like that's where it is as going, but still, I didn't want that to be the ending.
