Yeah, me too, we were dirt fucking poor when I was growing up.

I used to think that the worst part of being an only child is that everyone assumes you're a spoiled brat, but this is clearly worse than that… especially when those parents are divorced.

I'm listening to someone's disco playlist on Spotify, with it's incredibly liberal definition of disco. It includes Heart and the Doobie Brothers.

That sucks, especially lost sleep, but at least you have some insight to the problem and it's being fixed (right?). I think not knowing is the worst.

Well, at least you didn't say "get plastered".

Sorry for your loss. It sucks when you start losing your peers.

So, naturally, the closing date has been moved back a few weeks for the closing of mom's house. Which means a few more weeks of bitching, but at least this time it isn't a start over from scratch scenario. She said if this doesn't work out she's moving back north, and I kind of just wish she would. But she's getting

I saved all of my favorite songs in the infancy of MP3s, and I ditched the discs. I wish I still had them because the qualities of the tracks vary wildly. I've actually thought about recollecting them, just for more exploration of things I may not have given a fair shake back then.

"Rock It!"
"Yeah!"
"Shoot muslims toooo the suuuunnnnn!"

Sorry about your health scare, I had a similar thing in February.

Yeah, but Dan hates monogamy, he thinks that all people who are monogamous are ugly cave trolls who only have one partner because they're too hideous to fuck more than one. So if he can shoehorn advice to make people polyamorous he'll do it.

Back then it was more effort to produce, and more effort to consume. Rummaging through dad's end table or finding a magazine in the woods. Now it's all so easy and cheap, and it just isn't as good.

Nope! Mine is "Any Sense of Time", but they were on the same album as the Innarwebs comfirms, which is available for as low as $.96 on Amazon US.
I used to have a subscription to CMJ New Music Monthly, which if you don't know, had a sampler disc every month. I'm just not realizing that they had tons of Canadian bands.

I only have one track, but I've listened to it consistently for 20 years. I'm going to explore them some more, there was always something more pressing to check out back then. Now, with not a lot of new stuff I like, I've been going back and exploring stuff I missed.

Are you me?

I bet Minnie Driver doesn't think he's the nicest guy in Hollywood.

We have it too. I'm at the part with Galactus, but I don't know what to do… but I'm also too lazy too it up.

I read an article a year or so back, and this guy was detailing how his dad used to be a reasonable person but ever since he retired, he's been an Fox News acolyte, and they can't even have civil discussions anymore. It went pretty in depth about how even the ads for selling gold and home security play into the fear

My eldest was dino-crazy at about the same age. Also the same age where they love repetition, so you hear and see the same things 200 times a day.
