Might have been. But if that was the case I’d think that Progressive would have just said so.

Which is why I qualified it with “systemically”. The industry and incentives are set up to exploit uneducated consumers for short-term gains. Personal responsibility is absolutely involved here, though, and this article has some strong advice in it for sure.

Don’t car dealerships know we have the internet now? It is time to stop being shady bags of crap! I guess it is a Honda so maybe they are willing to trade the bad press online to get the Honda bros in the door to look at a car they can’t get financing for? Interesting strategy Cotton, let’s see how it works out for

I grew up in Georgia ( the country). In the 90s, recovering from the soviet collapse and with all the ex-soviet people in govt. positions, the country was a hell hole. To have been inside a car, was a cool thing as a kid. Sure, I had been in busses, but only a handful of times had I sat in a car.

There are 8 podium hostesses per stage (2 for each of the 4 jersey presentations). There are 191 other riders. You’re a douchebag who’s a support rider—not even a competitor in the climber/sprinter categories—for a third-rate team. You’re also Belgian.

Why the hell would they want to have sex with you?

I’m going to highlight truth here and call this a walk off error, as Revere advanced to third on the strikeout and home on the error.

There’s really nothing remarkable here. Lots of athletes take time out of their schedule to visit retarded children.

Well, based on what I know (admittedly, I’m not a fuel systems engineer) at least some performance cars will give you more performance based on the octane you’re running. For example, my ecoboost Mustang makes a helluva lot more power running 93 vs. 87 (to be fair, I haven’t seen dyno sheets comparing the two fuels -

If you drive a car which requires premium, but you can’t afford premium, then you are driving a car you cannot afford to begin with.

Should be a bargin at $50,000 before “options”

Can we agree that the four regular door Minis look terrible?

I’d believe it. At least 8 years ago... my Dad accidentally hit the dog with the footrest of the recliner when he was getting up. To this day, if someone is getting up out of one of those chairs, the dog gets up and moves to the other side of the room.

Bu wa ha ha! Oh!!

The best thing to do is get representative costs for every car you’re considering, including the one you’re driving right now. Include everything. The lease cost. The depreciation on a cheap used car you can buy with the cash you’ve already got. Insurance. Fuel. Servicing. Something to take into account it breaking

That is why I prefaced everything with this -

Because an S&P500 index fund will have a higher rate of return than a good loan?

Or, they should just be smarter about what they’re buying. I’ve taken out 3 auto loans in my life, and the most I’ve had to pay per month was $159. I didn’t buy a new car that was well outside my means. I researched for a long time on what was available in my area, reliability of those vehicles and what payment I was

seriously dude? an auto loan is between 1-4% ideally. by doing that you can invest the money you didn’t dump into your car and earn return of 5-10%. Its stupid to tie up all your money in a car

I use bankrate’s auto loan calculator. I’d recommend never getting a loan from the dealer unless they’re giving you a special rate lower than a credit union. Always check the rate calculator to know that they’re not lying.

At the dealership where I bought my civic, I told them I usually loan with Keypoint credit union

Also of importance is finding out your insurance cost before buying the car. Trading in that 10 year old Honda Civic on a Mustang GT or Camaro SS sounds great but the insurance will be substantially higher.
