An EV will beat any ICE car in terms of carbon emissions in about 14k miles. But, yes, all the more reason to replace big trucks with EVs.

EV trucks are a fantastic idea from a climate perspective. Converting one F-150 driver to an EV is like replacing three priuses with EVs. It makes sense to go after the highest polluters. Converting Prius drivers to Model 3s isn’t reducing carbon emissions nearly as much.

I don’t think so. I run the stock settings in track mode. It has pretty strong regen to keep the brakes from overheating. However, track mode pushes the cooling to the max to keep the battery cool. It also reduces the use of the brakes for stability control. If you don’t run track mode, you’ll cook the brakes fast and

Let’s see the numbers. I can’t really see how they overcome the physics of the high center of gravity.

So the solution is buy a crossover?

I don’t know what’s going on here. Maybe track mode isn’t available on the new model yet? I’ve taken my old 2018 Model 3 Performance to the track and ran full 20 minute sessions without overheating anything. I gave it about an hour between sessions while plugged in to charge and cool.

Model 3 is a small car. Cheap as chips too.

Bingo.

I’ll take two.

Why are any of us here?

And nothing of value was lost.

Exactly. I’d buy it tomorrow if it shipped. Just make it a car and ship it.

Can we just make the new roadster a “car” and ship it? The Plaid powertrain as-is would be great. Just cut some weight by shrinking the body down, use a few CF bits to lower weight, and ship it. I’d buy it right now.

These annoy me when I’m riding my aluminum electric motorcycle. They won’t change the light at all if I’m on a side street until a car pulls up.

That’d be nice, but google hasn’t enabled the fucking update for my phone yet. I’m stuck on the May update with my Pixel 8.

Ancient? 4 years? gtfo.

Why the hell did you write an article about this dumb video? You’re just feeding the trolls.

What is the delay between the start of movement of the wheel and the start of movement of the tires? The time required to move lock to lock is irrelevant. But, delay from start to start is important.

What other efforts? No one was building a charging network... I’ve got plenty of Tesla stuff to complain about, but the supercharger network is not one of them. It’s the last best thing about Tesla.

Ah yeah. True. No problems here in the US, so far. I registered my Sur Ron as a moped. I’ve been commuting on it for 6 years. I roll it right into my office for free parking. :-)
