The math doesn’t work out. I doubt that’s the reason for the range loss. You can do the math for yourself. Let’s estimate even on the high end its using 200W. Over an hour that’s 200 whr. The Model 3 uses 250 whr / mi. At 60 mph that’s 15,000 whr / hour. So, about 1.3% difference. And that’s unlikely, since I doubt…

Yes, when I choose my hotel, I look if it has a charging station. If it isn’t much more, I pick the one with charging to make my trip easier. That often means I don’t have to charge while driving at all, since the car can go up to 400 miles on the way there, full charge at the hotel and 400 miles  back...

Counter-point... Someone changed my oil and then didn’t tighten the filter tight enough and it worked loose while driving hard on the tail of the dragon, spewing a quart of oil all over the road. Refurb pack will be cheap in the future. Also, EV batteries should last 500k miles, so they shouldn’t have to be replaced. Not sure what broke in this one, but it didn’t wear out.

Time to lawyer up. The settlement should be for the current value of the vehicle. 

Another reason to not buy a used car right now. The pricing is insane. Just buy new and wait.
