<shrug> I have two car payments for Teslas that total more than our mortgage. Both 3 year loans, one at 2% and the other at 0.65%. It was better to take the loan than to pay cash.
I leased a fully optioned Model S P90DL back in 2016 for $750 / month. That was a $146,000 car.
But why?
Ah, but that’s not perceived luxury... Spending more $$ in thicker engine mounts or whatnot is not something the customer will see in the showroom...
They just fired the entire PR department... So, you’ll be waiting a while.
He wouldn’t be able to finish 50 laps before he fell asleep from boredom.
That’s pretty awesome. You should try the Sur Ron with the street tires. It’s probably not that far off in power to weight ratio, since it has about 7 HP, but only weighs 110 lbs. I love mine. I have no trouble keeping ahead of traffic on local roads, but I also only weigh 140 lbs, so the 7 hp (5 kw) probably goes…
Those are cameras, not mirrors.
Buy a base Model 3. It is the same price as the average new vehicle purchase, since everyone is buying crossovers. You don’t need 500 mile range when you can charge at 1000 miles of range per hour.
The model 3 has over 300 mile range now, before improvements. That’s 250 miles in the winter, or so.
Or just stop a few more times? vs. spending over $10k on a trailer? If your range is 400 or 500 miles, even cutting in half is still pretty good. Stop and spend 30 minutes charging every 200 or 250 miles...
How about a comparison with the Taycan?
Also, everything you need to do while driving can be done from the steering wheel. You don’t need to touch the screen while driving.
Exactly! Everything you need to do while driving can be done from the steering wheel. You don’t need to touch the screen while driving.
There is an aftermarket mod for the Tesla Model 3 to do exactly this.
Oh noooo.....
Series also gives you more power. Higher voltage , same current is more power.
Tesla batteries (and other large, liquid-cooled batteries) already will outlast the vehicles they are in. Easily 250,000 miles with minimal degradation (probably at 85% or more of original capacity). After that, the battery is still usable for other things, like fixed storage. Or just keep driving... 85% of 300+ miles…
I’m always amused by these videos of trucks struggling with some offroad obstacle that some person just easily walks or runs across. Either our cars are really bad or humans are just really impressive.
