Then stick to what you do best, which may be what they’re doing with the NX (I hope). I think their strategy with NX is to push handheld gaming to the mainstream, not just the age segment related to handheld Nintendo products. They have to grow their 20-40 demographic.

Seriously though, I love Nintendo, but how many times can you release an expensive product to market with lacklustre support before it impacts the bottom line, investor relations, corporate stock prices and, eventually, reduced interest in their portfolio of IPs?

Well, I think that the board of directors are going to be giving their smartphone strategy a pretty good re-thinking after the whole Pokemon Go affair... If this NX fizzles, like most people are expecting, I personally think investor pressure and positive results from software sales will push them into what everyone…
