It sounds silly, but that may be true in some respects; if it’s a microwave-based detector, the foam or air-filled test objects might not reflect enough for the system to pick them up compared to a water-and-bone human. They may also be tuned to an adult-height or bumper-height vehicle, and a child isn’t detected

lol

lol.

Interestingly, I’ve looked at the figures for my particular part of Europe.

That’s not a model 3

Why is cover image a Model S?

Best answer.

Yes and no.

You can think all that... but you’d be misguided. Fuel economy is at most 1mpg off of a sedan. Storage space is comparable, if not better, and it’s more usable, since loading kids/stuff is easier in a CUV. Handling? Nobody is taking a Murano to a track day. The handling constraints of a modern daily driver spec car

Every. Single. Subaru. Mostly because their owners are insufferable.

On elevators we are. Apparently Otis thinks people weigh 500lbs each.

Thank you for writing “number of people” instead of “amount of people”, which drives me nuts.

Actually the Charger still sells about 60K units a year, and since the tooling was amortized probably 10 years ago, it’s basically a money printing machine for Stellantis.

Anything that gets less then 20mpg, there are enough solid ways to improve efficiency that there is no excuse for things getting anything less.

Police cars. According to many on jalopnik anytime a police car is in public it results in death and destruction. They shouldn’t ever turn on the lights because it causes criminals to then run and kill people. And they shouldn’t ever enforce any laws. So police cars really just shouldn’t exist.

Dodge Charger.

Is the Nissan GT-R finally dead? If not then that car. It has incredible performance but it’s been 12+ year now Nissan, just put it out of its misery. It did it’s job time to move on.

Knock yourself out they’re about 1500 bucks these days. If you can ignore the badge you’ll realize that this is a 5 door Suzuki Vitara and that’s a close cousin to the Jimny. Low range transfer case 4 wd and everything. It’s not cute at all but you can have it in the US this weekend off craigslist pretty easy for

IIRC they have many old lines that are out of service, and I assume this is what its for. Pick people up in the current town center, hop on abandoned line, zip to next town, hop off, drive to its current town center.

Kinda have to agree. Unless it does something more special (a la Bugatti top speed key, or Mustang Boss 302 track key), or is part of the theater and placed in a unique spot (Aston Martin “Emotional Control Unit”) than yeah I’d rather have keyless-go capabilities.
