Exactly. Not everyone wants a departure from the norm when buying an EV. Some people, like myself, are perfectly happy with the traditional car setup and would choose an EV that looks and drives like an ICE vehicle over an over-stylized “futuristic” Tesla clone.

They discontinued the i3 last month. Whatever is left on lots is all that’s left.

Agreed. Even though I despise what BMW has become in recent years, this is a fine, meh electric SUV with a premium price to match the badge, good-enough range, inoffensive looks and likely a nice set of features/options.

I second this. is power and range the only thing that defines an EV right now? the electric powertrain is still attached to an actual BMW that is built in Germany and the x3 is very competitive in its class and is a great car to drive. 

My brother has an X3 M40i, and some minor issues aside, it drives very well. An X3 EV makes total sense. José’s dismissiveness comes off as just looking for a contrarian take. 

We own the PHEV X3. It’s much better to drive than the base X3 with instant acceleration and a seamless hybrid drivetrain. We buy gas once every three months. It’s the best SUV we’ve owned.

An electric X3 seems… good? People like the X3, making it an EV seems like a layup.

Having driven it, it's actually pretty decent. Especially for those who prefer a more "normal"ish looking EV. 

And it proves that people like Wagons and Hatchbacks.

I’m gonna let you finish, but how much do civil suits cost the city for cops shooting first? $100 grand is literal chump change. The difference is the money comes from the cop budget and equals about one officer for a year, and the civil liability comes from the city (taxpayers) and costs way fucking more than that.
