So the pole saved them from going into the water? Could have been a lot worse.

I’ve considered a Leaf as a runabout daily to go along with our PHEV, but just can’t bring myself to sit in that cabin each day (and I’ve owned a lot of Japanese/JDM cars). I’m waiting for the i3 to come down in price where I live.

A two beverage rule would be more than sufficient. It won’t stop Larry who has had 8 drinks at the airport bar (because responsible service is a joke) but it would lessen the problems.

Unfortunately. Range determines resale.

Cars like this are perfect for a 2 or 3 car household, of which there are plenty.

Okay, an alternative and probably better solution.

This vehicle is a Tesla killer.

“Men care more about the environment, put their money into reducing emissions through EVs”

Once she eventually owns one she’ll realize that all she has to do is plug it in when she gets home. It’s extremely easy to own an EV, and you don’t have to worry about the maintenance and constant refueling visits that come with ICE car ownership.

Probably a little. My wife doesn’t want a Tesla for that reason, and our next EV will probably be from some other brand.

“ needs to be semi-practical, but I have no real preference in body style, don’t need a ton of cargo or passenger space, and it doesn’t have to be fast. Just should drive well, provide joy, and not fade into the sea of drab, identical crossovers.”

I buy cars based on section area.

Yet another example of the we can’t do it attitude in the auto and trucking industries. Efficiency technologies have been around for decades, but manufacturers and buyers refuse to use them.

That is extremely helpful, and also explains in part why Chademo chargers are so unreliable and why they have been known to unlock while charging (putting a surge through the vehicle).

Induction I believe. But there’s an OEM with a full outdoor cooking facility, which is noteworthy.

I mean, you get the interior of a Nissan Versa for Audi money. The range has just become tolerable. It charges at a rate that proves the critics right. You have an unreliable and nearly obsolete charging connector. And it looks like a dinky hatchback.

I use the paddle shifters in my Outlander PHEV (which are borrowed from the Mitsi Evo, RIP) to control the regen. It’s genuinely useful to be able to increase it going downhill, or let it coast along the flat.

I mean, Rivian literally sells a pickup truck with a cooktop as a feature.

This list somehow misses manual gearboxes. Easily the most overrated feature on cars sold today.

Keep measuring it in English inches, if it makes you feel better.
