Welcome, new Overlord of Ladoplnik. Those aren’t tears of joy, they’re just the gas wafting in my direction.

It’s 2020.

Patina is just another word for rust. And rust is disgusting.

BMW will do exactly that. And then complain bitterly.

New McParland article:

This is a Glorias flashback.

A “car with gals in mind” and “woman winning ways”.

Those were the last of the V8 interceptors. They haven’t used those since Ford shut its factories and Holden closed down.

Aside from the barely-altered design, the plug port up front suggests that we’re going to get some interesting PHEV versions, at least for the European market (the port is also on the corporate 2016 image above).

In Australia they tend to drive Camrys, Passats, Stingers, BMWs. One of the states has an marked M5 they use for highway duties. The Holden Commodores and Ford Falcons that were the mainstay for generations have mostly phased out, and the utes are also going.

Now playing

Pull up to the bumper baby... slide it in between.

The Australian GP was cancelled by the drivers first and foremost (led by Lewis Hamilton), who were questioning publicly why they were about to gather several hundred thousand people into a small place. The teams followed, and then everyone else was empowered to do what they needed to do.

How about they just cancel 2020 now, and award first place to Mercedes, second to Ferrari, and third to Red Bull. Next year they can switch the places round if they feel like it.

Fair enough. She should be able to get a good hybrid SUV (Rav-4 or otherwise) next time you’re looking. European emission laws are forcing the manufacturers to develop hybrid versions of everything, and some of them eventually make it overseas.

Particularly if you make the bumper deformable and the hood nice and soft (as is the law in Europe). It’s not quite a pillow-smooth ride, but it’s eminently survivable at city speeds.

Nope, you done screwed it up. Other countries with actual vehicle standards are seeing a decrease in pedestrian fatalities, because the cars are getting safer in the event of a collision with a pedestrian.

I don’t know where you live, so I can’t speak to your circumstances. But generally if I’m riding on the road, it’s because the road is going somewhere I need to go. Have you considered that your (no-doubt extensive) lanes and trails don’t connect every two destinations?

The 4wd Prius is a great option. No look-in for the Rav-4 hybrid?

They really have been tremendously slow. In Australia they’re sold out of the Rav-4 hybrid and it has a six month waiting list.

I always wondered what a Fiat wearing a gimp suit would be like. This is a car for people with peculiar interests.
