Fuck yeah. Prime has a lot of those Italian rip Mad Max rip offs, and I can’t get enough of them. Most of them are packed with ludicrous violence, terrible sets and copious nudity which is all gold to me.

How’s Flatbush these days? Life long NY guy here and it’s crazy how Brooklyn has changed over the last 30 years. If I’d been smart I would have loaded up on property in the early 90's when most of it was genuinely terrifying.
I beg to disagree, Sir: look at films who intentionally try to make ‘bad’ movies and ‘cult’ films. They tend to fail miserably because the best of those films is accidental art. There’s nothing worse than the self knowing wink of a film that is trying to be either of those. The best of them tend to be organic: your Ed…
Fully agree with you. The original line up with Willis and Clark was the best line up and the ones that came up with the best riffs.
I’m a member of a FB group that specializes in Grindhouse and VHS junk films, and a lot of posters match your description.
I’ll debate this: unless it was deliberately overacted and overwrought in that fashion to achieve a ‘camp’ aesthetic (which I doubt highly) the film in what it is trying to ‘say’ is a very, very bad film. But to steal from John Waters it’s glorious camp and I could watch it a million times.
Oh my GOD yes. As someone born in the early 70's, I fucking loved those films. Give me your Star Crash, your Warrior of the Lost World and Ator films immediately!
That’s pretty funny, but the best reaction shots are from the Hippies coming out of Pink Flamingos if memory serves. i remember John Waters saying something about them looking like they’d been hit over the head with a bat.
You tend to forget her, crazy as that sounds. I watch a lot of horror films and when she pops up it takes me a moment to recognize her. Especially in early films cause she’s SO different than the Farrelly brother films.
Great interview! I get the feeling you could have interviewed her for even longer.
I have no idea what that is but it’s pretty awesome looking.
You need to make more money, Mr. Snrub: mine even has colored push buttons to go with the time!
45 and neither have I, but once I figure out my Betamax player I’m good to go!
Fuck you’re right. Good call my man.
I THOUGHT that was DOA. Of course they’re most famous for the infamous “Bloodrock” with the narrator of the song bleeding out while his GF lays dead next to him.
Abso-fucking-lutely. Not even a doubt. Although some big odds winners on this list considering...
As someone who was here in the golden years even before they went to Discus, it was a GLORIOUS time. Now they won’t even let me post under my Warren Oates name anymore the fuckers.
I’m literally choking on my own rage and...
Most of seasons 3 to 5 are perfect to me: I don’t know if I could pick a three episode block to be honest.
As the former Warren Oates poster who had his handle banned from the AV Club, I genuinely love your name.
