They’re working harder to publicize their non-white-male candidates than Democrats are with their own, but that’s because the Democrats aren’t often accused of being sexist/racist (lately).

The GOP has to win over moderates outside of their frothing base, and they always manage to do it in an incredibly insulting way.

Because the Republicans try so hard to pretend they are diverse that they seize on whatever Not White Dude person comes along espousing their politics and give them a national platform, from which they then get the delusion that conservative voters might actually vote for them.

You’ll notice the non-white and/or female GOP candidates are extraordinarily weak, even for Republicans. They are absolutely scrambling to stop looking like just old, white assholes, and are putting out these losers and oh my god I just realized that this is how they think affirmative action works.
